Jaso(n) Nguyen (they/them) is a colorist based in Oakland, California. Their work spans documentary, narrative, commercial, and social media. Alongside their work as a colorist, Jaso(n) has an extensive history in independent filmmaking, primarily as a DP, AC, editor, compositor, and VFX/3D artist. Jaso(n) received their MFA in Social Documentation from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2026 upon completing their film Coming Home Forever.
Outside of film, Jaso(n) is an avid music listener, amateur guitarist, and dog parent of a Pomeranian Chihuahua named Dante.

Jason is my legal name and I was occasionally credited as such on some older works, but folks these days call me Jaso!
